The House must vote NO on this week’s budget vote!
This budget resolution unfairly targets essential social programs like Medicare and Medicaid to finance tax breaks for the wealthy and large corporations. Millions of Americans rely on these programs for access to healthcare and economic security. Slashing funding will leave vulnerable populations without vital services and support. At the same time, extending the 2017 tax cuts permanently benefits the rich while increasing income inequality. I urge you to reject this misguided budget that prioritizes profits over people's wellbeing. A fair and compassionate society provides a strong social safety net, not tax giveaways to the already affluent. Vote against this resolution that sacrifices the needs of many for the gains of a few.
