To all elected officials supporting the starvation of Gaza:
We are fed up. The vast majority of our government continues to support Israel as it uses food—and the deprivation of it—as a weapon of genocide against more than 2 million Palestinians. The children of Gaza are not dying from a natural disaster or a supply chain breakdown—they are being intentionally starved by a U.S.-backed siege, with your complicity.
Spare us your empty resolutions and photo ops. Every meaningless call for “humanitarian aid” that doesn’t come with immediate and enforceable consequences for Israel’s mass atrocities is an insult to the people of Gaza and to every one of your constituents who sees through this sham. And worse still are those politicians who cynically use the pretense of aid as moral cover for continuing to support Israel’s war crimes—so long as some bags of flour reach some people, the rest of Gaza can be reduced to bones and dust, right?
We see your cowardice.
We also see the chilling reports on the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation”—a front for Israeli military operations that lure desperate civilians with promises of food, only to fire upon them. This is state-sponsored mass murder. According to DropSite News, this operation has resulted in mass detentions, shootings of civilians, and an escalation of psychological warfare, all under the banner of “humanitarianism.” Sound familiar? It should. This grotesque bait-and-kill tactic mirrors the horrors inflicted on Jews in 1943—only now, many of you stand with the perpetrators.
There is a unified call from international legal and humanitarian organizations to confront the famine in Gaza with coordinated diplomatic action. But instead of launching convoys and imposing consequences, you offer platitudes and continued weapons shipments.
We are not fooled. You cannot sign away your culpability. We will not forget, and we will not allow the passage of time, media silence, or anti-free speech legislation to erase what is happening. You are funding, enabling, and defending a genocide.
Stop taking money from pro-Israel lobbies that weaponize accusations of antisemitism to silence Jews, Muslims, and others who demand justice. Stop cashing checks from defense contractors whose products are killing children. Stop partnering with multinational corporations that profit from the occupation and exploitation of Palestinian land and labor.
Do not sleep on us. We are the people who make this country work—not the billionaires, not the lobbyists, not the warmongers. We will not let you continue to bankroll genocide in our name.
We say no to this war on Palestinians.
We say: STOP STARVING GAZA NOW.
