Trump's illegal EOs impounding congressionally mandated spending have made that role meaningless.
There is no question whatever about the illegality of the recent announcements of IG firing and halts to spending on federal aid.
The question is not even close.
As my elected representative I count on you to honor your oath to the constitution and ensure that the government runs according to the constitutionally instituted separation of powers.
Also, remember, you are in Congress to serve us. Not to toady to a tyrant.
