End ICE's Fascist Kidnappings and Protect Immigrants

49 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

I am writing to you today outraged and deeply troubled by the escalating unconstitutional actions being carried out by ICE, which now amount to abduction, unlawful detention, and state-sanctioned human trafficking. These heinous acts defy the fundamental principles upon which our nation was built, threatening the very fabric of American democracy. Yesterday in Worcester, Massachusetts, we witnessed a horrifying example of this unchecked brutality. A mother was forcibly seized by agents claiming to be from ICE—though they provided no identification, wore masks, and carried no warrants. This woman's terrified 16-year-old daughter was brutally assaulted by Worcester police, her face violently shoved into the pavement as she desperately begged for answers. This egregious abuse is a clear violation of constitutional rights, due process, and basic human decency. Equally disturbing is the recent arrest by ICE of the Mayor of Newark, NJ, who was targeted solely for exercising his First Amendment rights through peaceful assembly and free speech. Such authoritarian actions are reminiscent of the darkest chapters in history and are absolutely incompatible with the ideals of freedom and justice we claim to uphold. Immigrants built this nation. America owes its greatness, innovation, diversity, and strength to generations who journeyed here seeking refuge, opportunity, and dignity. Without them, America ceases to exist in any meaningful form. Today, however, we are failing them, descending rapidly into fascism and becoming a pariah state, viewed with justified scorn and disgust by former allies around the globe. We demand immediate and unequivocal condemnation from you and your colleagues—both individually and collectively—against these vile actions. Speak out, introduce and support robust legislation to protect immigrant rights, and vigorously challenge these human rights abuses in court. Your constituents and history itself implore you to stand on the right side of justice. Help us unify, mobilize, and resist this cruelty. Your voice matters deeply. Act now, before it's too late.
