Resistbot Petition: Time for impeachment. Draw up charges. Stop the Trump-Musk chainsaw massacre now
An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Time for impeachment. Draw up charges. Stop the Trump-Musk chainsaw massacre now

1,514 so far! Let’s get to 2,000 signers!

It's time to talk about impeachment, draw up charges, and stop Trump and Musk from any more destruction. There is no doubt that Donald Trump has been perpetrating unconstitutional high crimes and misdemeanors daily: issuing blatantly unconstitutional executive orders, failing to ensure that the laws are faithfully executed, usurping the constitutional powers of Congress, betraying our allies and giving succour to our foes. He is a twice impeached felon who speaks like a mafia boss or an abuser. Each day that you tolerate his overreach you normalise tyranny. Each day that you fail to condemn his lies and broadcast the truth you are complicit in the undoing of our shared civic discourse. Law firms are being threatened. We have multiple measles epidemics and plane crashes after none for over a decade. Trump is threatening members of Congress, political opponents and those he disagrees with. Racism and bigotry against protected classes are being brought in through the back door. A green card holder has been disappeared. Federal agencies that keep us safe, look after the environment and care for veterans are being illegally gutted. Humans across the world will starve and die as a consequence of cuts to USAID. Meanwhile the pretext for much of this destruction - stopping waste and fraud-- has been proven to be a tissue of lies and fabrications. Stop permitting one man to be a tyrant. Stop this pillaging, stop the chainsaw massacre of our federal agencies. You need to act now before the destruction and tyranny have gone so far they cannot be reversed.
