On October 14, 2025, while leaders across the Middle East — and even our own U.S. government — are praising a so-called ceasefire, Israel continues to violate it with impunity. On the 13th, drone attacks killed civilians who were trying to return to their homes — or what’s left of them. At least five people were killed while inspecting the rubble of their houses, and another person was killed east of Khan Younis.
When will Israel be held accountable? How long will these violations be ignored while the United States continues to arm and celebrate the perpetrators of these war crimes?
On October 13, 2025, during a speech to Israel’s parliament, Donald Trump bragged that Prime Minister Netanyahu called him during the Gaza “war” asking for weapons — even ones Trump “had never heard of.” Trump then joked that Netanyahu “used them well,” and the lawmakers applauded.
That horrifying statement is an admission of complicity. It confirms that the U.S. has been directly supplying weapons used to kill thousands of Palestinians, destroy hospitals, and flatten Gaza — all in clear violation of both U.S. and international law. And yet, Washington responds with applause instead of outrage.
It is long past time for Congress to act. I am urging you to:
• Support H.R. 3565 — the Block the Bombs Act — to immediately halt all weapons transfers to Israel. There are now 55 co-sponsors, yet too many members still refuse to sign on.
• Introduce or support a Senate companion bill to H.R. 3565 if you serve in the Senate, and demand a vote under Section 502B of the Foreign Assistance Act or a War Powers Resolution. Both mechanisms carry privileged status and can be forced to a vote.
• Support all joint resolutions of disapproval led by Senator Sanders and others demanding accountability for Israel’s ongoing war crimes.
The overwhelming majority of bombs dropped on Gaza carry U.S. serial numbers. Every civilian death bears our government’s fingerprints. If Congress continues to fund and defend these atrocities, history will remember that silence as complicity.
Please ensure this urgent message reaches your office’s leadership. The people of the United States are not asking politely anymore — we are demanding that our representatives stop enabling genocide.
