This drastic expansion of logging, without properly assessing its impact on air and water quality or wildfire risk, compromises the long-term viability of our cherished public lands. It is imperative that Congress take action to uphold current environmental protections and safeguards. Our national forests are a shared natural treasure that must be sustainably managed for the benefit of all Americans, now and in the future.
