The Republicans put in an amendment to the budget bill, at midnight, to sell off vast tracts of our public lands.
This is appalling. Sneaking in a plan to sell OUR public lands in order to fund tax cuts for billionaire oligarchs.
PLEASE, VOTE NO.
Reject this destruction of one of our most precious shared goods.
Public lands are a national treasure. Beloved by so many Americans: read Tracy Stone-Manning:

While it is a nice proof-point to have, we don’t need polling data to tell us what people’s photo libraries, social media feeds, old family albums and bucket lists show us. Americans care deeply about public lands, intuitively understanding they are a national treasure."
Imagine the loss to your children and grandchildren. Imagine the ecological destruction. If you don't care about ecology or your stewardship for the future then imagine the disgrace that will stain your legacy.
NO SELLING OFF OUR PUBLIC LANDS.
No mining, drilling, and environmental destruction for short term private profit. Please restore the Democratic senate amendment to prohibit selling off our public lands.
We will be watching your vote: we will vote out every GOP who slashes Medicaid and votes to sell off the National treasure of our public lands.
