I want to thank you for the work you continue to do on behalf of all of us who believe in democracy, equity, and truth. I’m writing today not to convince you of anything—you already see the danger clearly—but to stand with you and remind you that your efforts matter.
I know how exhausting it must be to face a relentless wave of anti-democratic policies and power grabs coming from the far-right, but please know: you are not alone. Many of us out here are watching, worrying, and hoping—hoping that you’ll continue to speak boldly, act swiftly, and do whatever it takes to stop this ongoing assault on our democracy.
The pillars of our nation—free and fair elections, civil liberties, checks and balances, freedom of speech and the press—are being actively eroded by those who seek power at any cost. We’re watching attempts to rewrite history, stoke bigotry, and silence dissent. We’re seeing dangerous overreach into private medical decisions and the targeting of LGBTQ+ individuals under the guise of “morality.” Across all branches of government, there’s a growing embrace of extremism and a deep disregard for justice and truth.
This isn’t politics as usual. It’s a coordinated dismantling of democracy, and it’s happening in plain sight.
I’m grateful every day that we have you—leaders who are grounded in truth, compassion, and a vision for a just and pluralistic future. Please keep going. Get louder. Be brave. We need your voices more than ever.
