Support judicial power and safety, transfer U.S. Marshals to court control

The rule of law and balance of powers are critical foundations of our democracy. Recent threats against federal judges and the alarming rise in contempt charges against the Trump regime's executive branch underscore the urgent need for an independent enforcement body to uphold judicial authority. Placing the U.S. Marshals Service under the oversight of the judicial branch would insulate this law enforcement arm from undue political influence and protect its role in carrying out court orders impartially.   This move safeguards judicial independence and the ability of courts to serve as a check on the other branches of government. Numerous judges have faced despicable threats and intimidation attempts merely for upholding their sworn duty.   The U.S. Marshals must be empowered to respond swiftly and decisively to such threats without partisan interference. Moreover, with the Trump regime increasingly defying court orders, an independent Marshals Service under judicial control becomes essential to enforcing the rule of law.   The concentration of power and the erosion of democratic norms cannot be allowed to undermine our system of checks and balances. Preserving an independent judiciary and its authority is paramount to maintaining a society governed by laws, not individuals.   I urge you to support legislation transferring the U.S. Marshals Service to the judicial branch to fortify the integrity of our justice system and the bedrock principles of democracy.
