Ceasefire and Unrestricted Aid Access Needed in Gaza
The recent incident in Gaza City, where two Palestinians were killed and several injured by Israeli forces, is deeply concerning. This occurred as they approached a UN aid convoy, highlighting the severe access constraints imposed by Israeli authorities. The northern parts of Gaza are experiencing the highest and most severe humanitarian needs due to these restrictions. The entire population of Gaza is at risk of starvation, as per the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) global initiative. Immediate action is required to prevent further loss of life. A ceasefire is urgently needed, along with unrestricted access for humanitarian aid. The international community must not stand by while civilians are at risk.
