Mike Waltz et al. using unsecure TeleMessage need PERMANENT removal from service

The recent hack of TeleMessage, the company providing a modified version of Signal to government agencies, has exposed a severe breach of secure communications within the highest ranks of the administration. This incident jeopardizes national security and puts lives at risk.   The contents of direct messages and group chats involving officials like Marco Rubio, Tulsi Gabbard, and JD Vance have been compromised, along with data from agencies like Customs and Border Protection and major financial institutions like Coinbase. It is inexcusable that Mike Waltz, who accidentally revealed his use of this vulnerable system in a cabinet meeting, will be failing upward to the position of U.S. Ambassador the UN. His reckless disregard for cybersecurity protocols has now been laid bare, and his continued presence in the administration undermines the integrity of our government's communications. Waltz's actions have demonstrated a lack of judgment that should disqualify them all from any future government roles.   This breach highlights the alarming vulnerabilities in the communication systems used by those entrusted with our nation's most sensitive information. A comprehensive investigation must be launched immediately to identify all individuals who have utilized unsecure platforms like TeleMessage and hold them accountable. Those found culpable of jeopardizing national security through such negligence must face severe consequences, including immediate removal from their positions and a permanent ban from accessing classified information or holding any government office.   The American people deserve to have confidence that their leaders are adhering to the highest standards of cybersecurity and protecting the nation's interests, as well as the lives of its military personnel, with unwavering diligence. Failure to take decisive action in response to this breach would constitute a dereliction of duty and a betrayal of the public's trust. Congress must act swiftly and decisively to address this grave threat and restore the integrity of our government's communication systems.
