I want to thank you for your continued fight against this criminal administration. Keep going! We need more of your courage, especially in getting Elon’s sticky fingers out of our nation’s most secure and vulnerable places. You’ve already started speaking up, and I am so proud to see you as my representative standing at the podium saying words I would say myself if I was in your position. But, as you know, there is more to do.
So I ask, please do whatever you can to get rid of Elon Musk’s influence. This will require us thinking outside the box. Maybe even learning from your Republican colleagues because they are clearly doing a better job at messaging than we Democrats are.
People have a harder time having empathy for groups of people. Find individuals, like the one you showcased in a video you posted of a park ranger who was fired. That is more powerful than talking about how many thousands of people will die as a result to USAID being destroyed.
Seek ideas from different sources—not just political operatives. This is no longer business as usual. We must look for new ways to get messages out, for “going viral” with what’s really happening. Shorter bites are better than longer reads. Thank you for your time and for your service. I am honored to say you represent me. Keep going!
