We, the people of the United States, are counting on our state leaders to do more. Thousands of Americans from all walks of life are taking courageous action in the face of this administration's autocratic behavior, and a few prominent Democrats have stood up and spoken out. The citizens of this great state urge you to use your platform and power to help with the fight. We ask that you immediately implement the action plan below for the sake of our Republic:
1. Defy unlawful orders publicly:
Host regular town halls and appear on TV daily. Declare refusal of unlawful federal demands immediately. Explain positions clearly, citing the law, the Constitution, and the people. Rally supporters in both blue and red states.
2. Unify and coordinate across states:
Hold joint press conferences with fellow governors. Sign and publicize mutual defense agreements together. Issue executive orders simultaneously across states. Invite additional states to join the coalition.
3. Innovate and prepare legal defenses:
Fund legal action teams ready to file lawsuits instantly. Pass state laws protecting judges, lawyers, and whistleblowers.Shield defenders from retaliation through new legislation. Establish safe havens for justice and accountability.
4. Mobilize and train state forces:
Activate state defense forces outside federal control. Conduct public drills in cities and parks. Train citizens and officials in readiness exercises. Demonstrate visible preparedness to deter federal overreach.
5. Safeguard infrastructure and economy:
Invoke emergency powers to secure airports, ports, and communication hubs. Impose tax and regulatory policies to deter corporate cooperation with unlawful actions. Leverage state contracts to punish compliance with rogue federal demands. Build an economic firewall to block unlawful interference.
Organize and empower civilians:
