An open letter to the U.S. Senate
No SCOTUS hearings
1 so far! Let’s get to 5 signers!
Hi, I'm a constituent writing to say I'm enraged about the SCOTUS hearings. They shouldn't be happening. In February 2016, Mitch McConnell refused to hold confirmation hearings to fill Justice Antonin Scalia’s seat because the presidential election was that year. With a presidential election less than 50 days away and early voting already underway, I want the Senate to “let the American people decide” who the next nominee should be to the Supreme Court. They shouldn't hold confirmation hearings until after inauguration day on January 20, 2021. I will be watching the Senator's actions closely. Thanks.
