DEFEND CITIZENSHIP — NONE OF US IS SAFE
If the federal government can threaten to strip one American of citizenship for their political beliefs — none of us is safe. That’s what’s happening to Zohran Mamdani, a legally naturalized U.S. citizen and elected state lawmaker. Some members of Congress are now calling for an investigation into his citizenship, and even suggesting deportation, not for a crime or an act of disloyalty, but because they disagree with his politics. That should alarm every American — conservative or progressive. Citizenship is sacred. It is not a weapon to be used against political opponents. Our Founders understood that government power must never be twisted to silence dissent or punish unpopular views. When leaders use the machinery of the state to go after people for their beliefs, we no longer have a government of laws, but of men. That’s not freedom — that’s tyranny. I call on you to defend the Constitution by demanding: 1. That the Department of Justice reject any attempt to denaturalize an American based solely on their politics, faith, or speech. 2. That Congress reaffirm that citizenship, once lawfully granted, is permanent and protected. 3. That oversight hearings be held to ensure no administration or party ever weaponizes citizenship for partisan purposes. Defending the rights of one citizen defends the rights of us all. True patriotism means standing up for the rule of law — even when we disagree with the person under attack.
