It would be funny if it wasn't such an abject betrayal of the country and. constituents.
Perhaps you forgot the law you passed in 2022 about firing or moving IGs? Perhaps you don't understand that the President is bound to oversee faithful execution of the laws? Perhaps you don't see that for a President to break the laws he should faithfully see executed is unacceptable.
The President is making a mockery of the senate. You should not even have to discuss the lack of qualifications and sordid personal conduct of nominees like Peter Hegseth: yet you gave his candidacy cover by releasing your statement too late instead of opposing such an egregiously unqualified and dangerous candidate from the first.
You also recently lied and denied that you had once said Trump had learned his lesson.
Unfortunately your lie is now part of the record just as your statement about Trump learning a lesson is.
Lying in public life may be the norm for the convicted felon sexual harrasser classified document absconder aspiring fascist in the White House. But maine deserves better.
Stop lying and stop giving cover to those dismantling our constitution.
