Resistbot Petition: Trump's J6 pardons are an outrage: will you hold any standards?
An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Trump's J6 pardons are an outrage: will you hold any standards?

89 so far! Let’s get to 100 signers!

It's time for you to speak out. Pardons for 1500 people who assaulted the Capitol on January 6th. What do you think? America is furious. Police unions are furious. The GOP can never claim to support law and order again. Those pardoned criminals were client domestic terrorists. They were egged on by Trump. Do you know any history? Do you know about Hitler's brown shirts? Members of Congress of both parties had their lives put in danger on January 6th. Capitol police were killed. Do you think these pardons are okay? Speak out against them now. Silence is compliance. If you have any respect for law and order and upright human conduct then show it in your questions at Confirmation hearings. Nominees should be appropriately qualified and have impeccable personal integrity. That means no alcoholics or people who've done spousal abuse or other sexual misconduct. No one with even a reputation for those things should move forward from committee. The Republican Party is now the party of pardoning violent criminals, shredding the constitional order and citizens rights and overturning the rule of law. Republicans own these pardons and these improper low quality nominees. Find your courage: America needs it. I will be watching your votes carefully. Please reply in writing telling me how you will combat domestic terrorism, how you will uphold your oath to the constitution, whether you are committed to staffing the government with a workforce who reflect the diversity of our population and are not persons with any reputation for bad character.
