Congress has led us to the brink of peril. Walk it back
Say no to human trafficking and slavery. I'm appalled at the cruelty and abuses being reported about ICE agents and detention facilities, appalled at the illegal refusals of congressional oversight visits, appalled at ICE kidnappings, violence and reports that ICE agents get bounties and talk to each other of "getting bodies." Violence cruelty and dehumanisation are being normalised, even promoted and celebrated. Now there is chatter about detainees being loaned out for labor. Which is state sanctioned SLAVERY. Congress passed an evil bill. Now Congress MUST uohold the constitution and the rule of law. Legislate to rein in ICE. NO face masks. Agents must identify themselves and wear identification. Who does oversight against ICE abuses? You voted to make ICE as large as the MILITARY of some other nations. You own this, you better regulate and control this. NO ONE IS SAFE unless all are safe. Speak out to DEMAND that Habeas corpus and other foundational constitutional principles be honored. SPEAK OUT TO condemn racism and bigotry. Someday there will be accountability and trials like the Nuremberg trials. DO NOT BE COMPLICIT in government sanctioned human trafficking, extra judicial cruelty, or the reinstatement of slavery via contractual arrangements between the government and private agencies. Congress's collective betrayal of the constitution and complicity in dehumanising rhetoric and bigotry has led us to the precipice of a place of cruelty, monstrous moral evil and collective peril. Do what you can now to preserve some decency.
