An open letter to the U.S. Congress

GOP budget & Medicaid cuts are depraved heart murder. Please, VOTE NO

871 so far! Let’s get to 1,000 signers!

NO cuts to Medicaid. Oppose this GOP spending bill, speak against it, write against it, vote against it, please. How it can EVER be okay to slash access to Medicaid in order to fund tax cuts for the uber-rich? What moral universe do you live in? You realise that these cuts will bring gravest distress and hardship? That they will cause deaths? Preventable deaths in the richest nation in the world. They will also cause health care facilities and providers to shut down, depriving many more of care than just those directly excluded by these cuts. In short: these cuts are a conscious program of DEPRAVED HEART MURDER. All who design, promote, or sent to them are complicit. Let's looks at the facts: "Bobby Kogan, the Senior Director of Federal Budget Policy for the Center for American Progress states: The Republican plan would cut more than $700 billion from health coverage & kick more than 8 million people off their insurance. Around $600 billion of that comes from Medicaid. This would be the largest medicaid cuts ever, by many hundreds of billions of dollars. If you count the ACA premium tax credits not being renewed, by the way, that 8M number goes up to 13.5M. Thirteen and a half MILLION people losing their healthcare so rich people can keep paying virtually no taxes." I am outraged that elected public servants are putting the wealth of the super rich before the survival of fellow human beings. Depraved heart murder. Learn the term, use the term. Vote NO.
