Say No to War in Mexico

Despite minimal public discussion, we continue to see alarming signs that the Trump Administration will go forward with military strikes against the cartels in Mexico as promised - with or without the permission of the Mexican government. Sending in our troops and turning the War on Drugs into an actual war will not stop the drug trade, and it will be incredibly dangerous. We are risking chaos and quagmire – Iraq and Afghanistan all over again, this time on our doorstep. Innocent Mexicans and Americans will be killed, and the bloodshed may not stay on the other side of the border. No one voted for that, and no one is prepared for the consequences. I urge you to speak out publicly and do whatever is in your power to stop this war before it starts and focus on real solutions to the substance abuse crisis.
