Reject AIPAC and Support/Introduce the Block the Bombs Act NOW
“Leave now.” That is what Prime Minister Netanyahu has just told Gaza City residents. But there is nowhere to go. Israel is about to bombard the area with airstrikes and prepare for a ground maneuver. These are not warnings—they are death sentences. In recent days alone, Israeli forces have destroyed at least 50 high-rise buildings in Gaza City, including the Al-Ruya Tower, which housed 24 apartments, a clinic, and a gym. Entire families were forced to flee their makeshift tents as the structures collapsed around them. On Saturday, at least 67 people were killed while seeking food or shelter. Even Israel-designated “safe zones” are bombed: a BBC investigation found that one so-called “safe” area has been struck 97 times since May, killing more than 550 people. Now Netanyahu boasts: “All of this is just a prelude… to the main intensified operation.” Defense Minister Israel Katz threatens that “a mighty hurricane will hit the skies of Gaza City… Gaza will be destroyed and you will be annihilated.” This is not war. This is genocide. The United Nations has made it unequivocally clear: there are no safe zones in Gaza. Aid has been blocked since March. Eighty percent of community kitchens have no supplies left. Water systems have collapsed. Telling civilians to “leave now” is nothing but a cruel directive to walk into death. Yet the U.S. government continues to arm these crimes. Congress does this because AIPAC demands silence and complicity. Enough. I demand that you: • Reject AIPAC’s influence and refuse its money. No representative of the American people should allow a lobbying group to dictate policy that enables genocide. • Cosponsor the Block the Bombs Act in the House and introduce mirroring legislation in the Senate. End U.S. weapons transfers to Israel immediately. Every bomb sent, every dollar of military aid approved, makes Congress complicit in Israel’s crimes. You swore an oath to protect human life and uphold justice. Right now, you are violating that oath. If you have already rejected AIPAC contributions, thank you for doing the right thing. To all of those who have not, remember this: history will remember those who stood with genocide—and those who had the courage to stop it. Which side are you on?
