I am writing with grave urgency and outrage. As the genocide in Gaza enters its 21st horrific month, one name should haunt the conscience of the world: Hind Rajab—the 6-year-old girl whose desperate final phone call while trapped in a car surrounded by the bodies of her murdered family captured the brutality of this era. She was later found executed by the Israeli military alongside the medics who tried to rescue her.
Hind Rajab has now been posthumously nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, a powerful act of remembrance and resistance. In the words of Professor Khaled Beydoun, who submitted her nomination:
“The Nobel Peace Prize would recognize a living memorial for every child robbed of a future due to war and genocide.”
If you care about peace—real peace—you must publicly endorse Hind Rajab’s nomination and ensure her story is never erased.
Meanwhile, in a grotesque mockery of justice and human dignity, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated Donald Trump for the same honor. Trump, who openly encouraged and enabled Netanyahu’s apartheid regime and settler colonial violence, is no peacemaker. He is a warmonger’s favorite. This nomination is an insult to every child killed in Gaza and a brazen attempt to whitewash complicity in mass murder.
Let me be perfectly clear: honoring Hind Rajab means honoring all children’s right to live free of fear, bombs, and occupation. Honoring Trump means honoring genocide.
You must choose which side of history you will stand on. I demand that you:
1. Openly and vocally support the Nobel Peace Prize nomination of Hind Rajab and share her story.
2. Unequivocally reject Netanyahu’s cynical nomination of Donald Trump, which makes a mockery of every life lost and every call for peace.
3. Affirm that Palestinian children’s lives are equal to all others—and that a “peace” built on apartheid and ethnic cleansing is no peace at all.
Israel has killed tens of thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza. How many more will die before you act with moral clarity?
Honor Hind Rajab. Reject genocide. And stop legitimizing those who profit from it.
