Resistbot Petition: The House Budget bill is EVIL. It will bring death and suffering. Vote NO
An open letter to the U.S. Senate

The House Budget bill is EVIL. It will bring death and suffering. Vote NO

693 so far! Let’s get to 1,000 signers!

I am grief stricken and outraged by the evil budget bill that the house passed. It is an abject disgrace. It will explode the deficit. It will cause hunger, misery, and even death. It does an end-run against the constitutional checks and balances. It will cause climate emergencies and leaves no funds for emergency response. Did you run of office to snatch food from hungry children? Did you seek office to ensure that some of your constituents--whom you should be honored to serve-- would go bankrupt or even die because they lost Medicaid or Medicare? Did you run for office to undermine the rule of law and the authority of the courts? Did you run for office with the aim of exploding the deficit in order to further enrich those with multiple houses and yachts? Do you remember that "To promote the general welfare" is a phrase from the U.S. Constitution? Do you recall that thr Preamble and Article I, Section 8 refer to the government's duty to work towards the well-being and prosperity of all citizens? The senate must reject this budget: it is a moral abomination that brings the House into disgrace. Those who promoted it and arranged for a 1000-page document to be discussed in the dead of night will be remembered as villains of colossal cruelty and corruption. This "budget" is a document of untrammelled greed and immiseration. It does not make anything or anyone great. It is a disgraceful abuse of the moral duty of elected representatives that endangers our lives, our nation, and the future of life on this planet.
