• Musk’s staff demanded access to the Treasury’s sensitive payment systems for the flow of more than $6 trillion annually (Social Security, Medicare, tax refunds, federal salaries, and payments to government contractors and grant recipients). These payment systems have usually only been accessed by a small number of career officials in the Bureau of Fiscal Service.
• Musk has been trying to get access since the election, per the Washington Post , and continued his requests after Trump’s inauguration.
They are trying to hijack payments from the government and hold us all hostage. Maybe it includes your paycheck. This is a hostile takeover of our government, not from the inside like a Trojan Horse, but from the outside like a wrecking ball.
Will they clean out everyone's bank accounts? Will my disabled daughter continue to get her payments from SSI? Will I ever see my tax refunds I am owed? PLEASE MAKE IT STOP.
And it’s not just Treasury:
• Musk staff has been caught installing hard drives inside the Treasury Department, and the General Services Administration (GSA), the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
• At OPM, Musk’s aides were discovered accessing systems, including a vast database known as the Enterprise Human Resources Integration (EHRI), which contains sensitive information such as dates of birth, Social Security numbers, performance appraisals, home addresses, pay grades, and length of service for government employees. WHEN EMPLOYEES SPOKE OUT, MUSK’S AIDES LOCKED CIVIL SERVANTS OUT OF COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND OFFICES, WITH REPORTS OF PERSONAL ITEMS BEING SEARCHED.
