Congress STOP the illegal destruction of the USPS. Save local USPS branches
Trump's illegal executive orders are causing nothing but damage, chaos, and suffering.
It's time for Congress to step up with all the tools at its disposal.
Don't wait for the courts.
I am disgusted at the way both chambers of congress have allowed Trump to usurp the congressional power of appropriations.
You are signing the death certificate of constitutional order and the birth certificate of tyranny every time you tolerate yet another instance of executive overreach.
Now we hear Trump wants to destroy or privatise the USPS.
This is flagrantly illegal since the USPS was established by acts of Congress.
Post offices are essential community hubs, indispensable for small businesses, essential for deliveries of items like medicines and medical equipment, essential to democracy and elections.
Let me remind you:
"the US Constitution states that Congress has the power to . . . establish post offices" so by implication only Congress can disband them (Article I, Section 8, Clause 7)"
Please reply to let me know what you will do to protect the USPS and branch post offices from the chainsaw massacre of Trump and Musk.
You will be remembered in history as feckless enablers. You have subpoena power, you can call investigations and make criminal referrals.
Get to work.
