The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office confirms that this bill would add $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next decade—all while gutting the very programs that keep millions of families alive, healthy, and housed.
Let’s be clear: this bill slashes Medicaid, the ACA, SNAP, and housing assistance, while delivering windfall tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy. Up to 16 million Americans could lose health coverage—children, cancer patients, veterans, pregnant women, retirees, and people with disabilities—just so the top 0.1% can pocket tax breaks averaging $188,000. Meanwhile, some minimum wage workers would actually see their taxes increase.
This is a direct attack on the most vulnerable:
• 7.8 million people cut from Medicaid, including children, new mothers, and people in cancer care
• Sharp rise in child hunger, as SNAP cuts and work requirements purge families from assistance
• Rural hospitals on the brink, unable to survive the loss of Medicaid funding

Children will lose vaccines and check-ups. Women could lose prenatal care and cancer screenings. Seniors will skip medications. And those battling chronic or terminal illnesses may be left without treatment altogether.
