Vote down HR1 murder budget, it slashes climate and clean energy

3,060 so far! Let’s get to 5,000 signers!

The "One Big Beautiful Bill" Act (H.R. 1) is a devastating attack on clean energy progress and environmental protections in America. It would repeal key provisions of the Inflation Reduction Act, slashing investments in clean energy tax credits, home rebates, and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.   These cuts will drive up energy costs for families by over $400 per year on average, kill hundreds of thousands of clean energy jobs, and allow unchecked fossil fuel pollution. Simultaneously, the bill is a massive giveaway to the oil and gas industry. It mandates selling off public lands for drilling, lowers royalty rates corporations pay, and expedites polluting projects with minimal review.   Critically, it would gut vehicle emissions standards, air pollution monitoring at schools, and eliminate Environmental Justice Block Grants that help disadvantaged communities build resilience against climate disasters. Provisions like the REINS Act would also prevent agencies from enacting new climate and pollution safeguards we desperately need. This is unacceptable handout to big polluters and billionaires at the expense of public health, the environment, and our children's future.   I urge you to stand up for clean air, affordable energy, and climate action by voting against H.R. 1 and its dangerous rollbacks of vital protections. The American people overwhelmingly support transitioning to renewable energy and addressing environmental injustices. Please reject this destructive legislation that only serves fossil fuel interests, not our communities.
