On Sunday, June 1st, the Israeli military perpetrated a horrific massacre in Rafah, Gaza, targeting starving Palestinians gathered at a food distribution point. At least 35 people were slaughtered and hundreds wounded at what has come to be known as the Witkoff Massacre. The site, run by U.S.-backed mercenaries, promised food to desperate families—only to turn into a killing field, bombarded by Israeli drones, tanks, helicopters, and ground troops.
Survivors of the attack, documented by Doctors Without Borders (MSF), have described unimaginable horror: “They told us to take food—then they fired from every direction.” This is not humanitarian aid. This is the deliberate weaponization of hunger—an explicit war crime under international law.
The Trump administration’s support for this illegal and dehumanizing plan directly implicates the United States in these atrocities. Instead of saving lives, we are enabling mass starvation and civilian massacres by funding, arming, and politically shielding the perpetrators.
This is not just a foreign policy failure—it is a moral catastrophe. It is long past time for the U.S. to stop acting as Israel’s enabler and shield while war crimes and genocide are carried out in full view of the world. Under both Biden and now Trump, our government has shamelessly continued to bankroll the systematic slaughter of Palestinians. Our tax dollars are funding this horror. Our weapons are being used to execute it. Our leaders are justifying it.
I am demanding that the United States immediately:
• Return humanitarian aid control to the United Nations.
• End all support for the weaponization of aid and food distribution.
• Demand and enforce the full lifting of Israel’s brutal blockade on Gaza.
• Halt all military and financial support to Israel until these war crimes stop.
This nation cannot continue to claim any moral authority while supporting genocide. The world is watching. And we, your constituents, will not forget your actions—or inaction—in this moment of moral clarity.
Do the right thing. Stop the massacres. End the blockade. Restore UN oversight of aid. Or be remembered for enabling one of the most shameful crimes of this century.
