Defend the Constitutional Rights of Every Person in Your District - Speak Up Now

4 so far! Let’s get to 5 signers!

I am writing to you regarding the ongoing “No Kings” protests happening across the country. These protests are a clear stand against rising authoritarianism and the abuse of power we have witnessed. They reflect the fundamental American values of free speech, free assembly, and the right of the people to hold their leaders accountable. It is deeply concerning that some elected officials have dismissed these protests as “anti-American.” Let me be absolutely clear: there is nothing more American than citizens exercising their constitutional rights. Whether or not you personally agree with every cause being highlighted—from the misuse of the National Guard and ICE to the flow of military aid to Israel amid a genocide—it is your duty to defend the right of the people to protest. I urge you to publicly and unequivocally support these protests. Make it known that the right to protest is not a partisan issue. It is a cornerstone of our democracy. We, as voters and constituents, are paying attention. We are united across cities and states to ensure that our representatives truly represent us. And yes, we vote. If you fail to stand up for our fundamental rights, we will remember that at the ballot box. Now is the time for leadership that upholds the Constitution. This falls under the responsibility of both federal and local officials. We expect you to do your part in protecting our right to dissent. Stand with us, or be prepared to answer to us as voters who will hold you accountable.
