Resistbot Petition: Protect the Peaceful Humanitarian Mission of the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza
An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Protect the Peaceful Humanitarian Mission of the Global Sumud Flotilla to Gaza

25 so far! Let’s get to 50 signers!

I am demanding immediate U.S. action to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla and ensure its humanitarian mission reaches Gaza. This flotilla is a lifeline to civilians deliberately starved and besieged under Israel’s decades-long blockade. Israel’s actions are not “security measures” but deliberate war crimes: • Nearly twenty years of blockade have deprived Gaza’s population of food, medicine, water, and reconstruction materials. • Israel has deliberately bombed hospitals, schools, aid convoys, and housing, killing tens of thousands—including an appalling number of children. • The United Nations, human rights organizations, and genocide scholars have made clear that Israel’s actions meet the definition of genocide: starvation as a weapon of war, mass targeting of civilians, and systematic destruction of life in Gaza. The United States cannot continue to shield Israel from accountability. Preventing this flotilla from delivering aid would make our government directly complicit in genocide. I demand the following: 1. Publicly affirm the flotilla’s right to deliver humanitarian aid. 2. Use diplomatic and political pressure to stop Israel from attacking, boarding, or sabotaging these ships. 3. End U.S. military and financial support that enables Israel’s blockade and mass killings. 4. Condemn Israel’s deliberate targeting of children, families, and humanitarian workers as crimes under international law. Protecting the flotilla is the bare minimum. The U.S. must act now to stop Israel’s blockade, cut off all military aid, and end complicity in genocide. Anything less is unacceptable.
