"We have just confirmed reports that the detention center in Adelanto, CA is using hazardous chemicals as a disinfectant in response to COVID-19 — and we have heard similar practices in camps in Texas and Florida.
Up to 50 times a day, agents are directly spraying immigrants with HDQ Neutral, a chemical that is highly poisonous to people and causes chemical burns on the skin and eyes.
Detainees have reported blisters, rashes, bleeding, headaches, and body pains in response to the poison.
We need to stop this! ICE must release all immigrants from detention camps where they are in danger of dying because of the spread of Covid-19.
